i’m going to keep this post very short and sweet. if you’re like me, and have noticed that both Naruto and Bleach are in their lame filler episodes, you’re probably wanting something new to keep your mind off things. yes, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is definitely your best bet, but here’s another new anime that i highly recommend checking out.
“Katanagatari (sword story) centers on Yasuri Shichika, the seventh head of the “swordless style” of Japanese sword martial arts. One day, a girl named Togame, arrives on the island where Shichika and his older sister Nanami lives with a favor to ask from him. She tells him that she is on a mission to find and collect the final twelve swords forged by a master swordsmith by the name of Shikizaki Kiki and she needs his help. They then both leave the island together to seek out the swords.” -Wikipedia
the art style is absolutely beautiful and the animation is very fluent. the interesting thing about this mini-series is that there are only 12 episodes. one episode per sword. each episode is 1 hour long and they only release once a month. not something you see many shows do often.

the second episode of the 12 should be airing very soon. if you like samurai, swords, or hand to hand combat, deff give this show a looksie.
