The best thing about internet media is how quickly it is absorbed by the community and regurgitated. A bunch of Whedonnites/Dr. Horrible fans took it upon themselves to create a prequel for the internet Whedon success story of the year. the best part? it’s actually not bad.
in fact, it’s pretty darn good.

Review:
Despite it’s low-budget, the movie comes across well. It sets out to do everything it should, it gives the main characters enough of a back story, as well as some fairly catchy songs. The lip syncing leaves a lot of room for improvement, and some shots are just awkwardly off-putting (there’s a very long cut of young Capt. Hammer excuse me, Kenny Hammerstein, in the salon dancing between two chairs) despite that, it’s pretty entertaining. They may have made Hammer a little too weird, and the actor playing him was more aristocratty than he was cocky, although that seems to work itself out by the end.
Without spoiling anything, it’s a pretty plausible . I do wish young Moist, “Wade”, had more character moments. The plot arch is very similar to Dr. Horrible, and it compliments it well. Definitely something to see if you liked Dr. Horrible.
Runtime: ~45 minutes.
