I think this guy's blind. He look blind to you?
WTF is a Theramin? Well, if you’ve been on or around the internet long enough, you’ve probably run into one. They’re touch-less instruments that use radio waves to create pitch and volume, and they make the sound of an alien crying. They’ve been used mostly for sound effects and to make the occasional geek feel cool, and if I know anything about geeks, that means somewhere out there someone has used one to cover the Mario theme.
Videos under the cut!
Well, lets just say I was 1up-ed when I saw someone had actually hacked his SNES to play Mario with the Theramin. Fuck Wiimotes, this is where the shits at.
They can also be used to make pretty cool covers of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy
If you’d like to learn how to play one, Sir Thomas Grillo has taken it upon himself to show you just how it’s done. Its so great that professionals take time out of their busy schedule to help the peons like the Youtube community learn such a valuable skill.
Thank you, Thomas Grillo.

You know, Rob, good “Aerial Fingering” techniques are key. When done well, you can manipulate the pitch and volume on any, ahem, instrument.
