i’m sure many of you readers have kept an eye on this past E3 event (Electronics Entertainment Expo) to at least some extent. over all, this year’s E3 really didn’t impress me. i’m a Nintendo fan boy and they still haven’t whoo’d me yet. sure Mario Galaxy 2 should be fun for about 5 hours. the new Zelda that will be coming to Wii is the only major announcement i’m interested in for consoles.

IGN recently did their best in show picks and all that jazz. the game that everyone’s been talking about is a hand held game known as Scribblenauts. it’s a game for the Nintendo DS (of course) that basically allows you to solve puzzles any way you can imagine. i’ve been watching some videos on and it and it really looks awesome.
when it comes to gaming, i look for depth, competitiveness, and innovation. Scribblenauts definitely has the depth and innovation. there are 220 different platform-puzzle levels that can each be completed hundreds of different ways. you literally write any word you can think of and it appears in front of your character. you can use these objects you create to solve your puzzles. (of course the few words that are exempt from this are vulgarities, things you can’t pick up, and copyrighted material.) anyway enough rambling, check out some footage! i’m adding this to the small list of games i actually plan on playing in the future.
here’s the official trailer:
A COUPLE MORE AWESOME VIDEOS THAT SHOW OFF THE GAME UNDER THE CUT!
let’s create God himself, and give him a skateboard and a shotgun! LOL, too cool.
i’ll talk about a few other upcoming games that i feel will be both innovative and fun in future posts!
