Apple is easily one of the better companies out there right now. The release of the iPhone 3GS and the new line of notebooks has basically secured that they won’t have too much to worry about financially for a while. I want to point out a couple of things however about the new phone and the new 3.0 OS that should get everyone excited.
Find my iPhone Feature:
Apple has a service called Mobile Me. It gives you 20GB’s of storage on Apple’s server, PUSH abilities for the iphone and iPod Touch, and many other minor features. The PUSH abilities were the big thing when the 3G phone came out seeing as it basically made your contacts, calendar, and email sync perfectly. I never really used any of those things to be honest… BUT, the new big thing is called “Find my iPhone”. If you have Mobile Me and an iPhone 3G or 3GS you can now track your phone on any computer. You heard me right. You can now track your phones EXACT location using the phone’s built in GPS anywhere in the world! That means if you ever lose your phone or if it is stolen you are almost guaranteed to find it. Do you realize how huge that is? Not to mention you can also Remote Wipe. With Remote wipe you can wipe the phone clean so no one can use it and steal any of your information. You can even send a text message to the phone that is lost that will stay displayed on the screen when someone tries to use it. “I will find you… and I will kill you- Liam Neeson” I love technology <3

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I fucking hate AT&T. If Apple made one mistake it was choosing them as the iPhone’s service provider. If you live anywhere out of a city the service is spotty as fuck. Not to mention their 3G speeds are mediocre at best. SPRINT of all providers even has a better 3G service than they do. It’s quite sad. The real reason I am flipping out however is that fact that MMS will not be available until later this summer thanks to AT&T. That’s right… Pictures,Video, and data messages are unavailable thanks to them. Instead of being able to picture message a pic of me drunk or receive a video message of Nick drunk I get some BULLSHIT AT&T website to go to that NEVER works. What’s really frustrating is the fact that the phone is more than capable of doing it. It’s one of the most advanced phones in the world and thanks to AT&T I get to wait. Almost every other provider in the world gets MMS next week… Me? Who fucking knows….
