Guitar Hero and Rock Band have been battling it out like dueling magicians for the past year. When RockBand destroyed Guitar Hero by adding multiple instruments, GH hit back with World Tour, and not just that, but one upped by releasing games like Guitar Hero Aerosmith and Guitar Hero Metallica. These one band focused games must have done decently (although I don’t believe enough people playing these games even listen to either band)
I do think, however, that Rock Band has more than beaten GH this round. and here is the proof:
Rock Band chose to make a music video game of the most beloved, popular, and well known bands of all time. The best part is that the trailer looks decent enough, and then you get to 1:22 and your mind. it’s blown. Just like listening to The Beatles for the first time high. Sorry, Guitar Hero. you lose. But you deserve it for thinking this asshole deserved his own tribute game.
Man, Fuck Metallica.

Rock Band FTW. Plus with full album downloads on Beatles… I can’t see a reason not to get this game. I got a 360 primarily for rock band… and of course some other games… but I mostly use it for my rocking needs. They have been on the ball from the start with great weekly content… I have somewhere around 300 songs, and all of them are tops. I can’t wait for three part harmonies and rockin’ out to some great classic tunes this September!

I really feel like I belong here when people can say “Fuck Metallica” without getting a 20 min lecture about how “they’re a very popular band for a reason…” So indeed…Fuck Metallica. I hate fake angst. I think that picture proves what a smug fuck this guy is… And what kinda name is Metallica anyway? “Let’s take our genre and add a suffix to make it awesome.” Too bad they chose the suffix -ica which is defined as such: “Suffix appended to words to create a feminine noun.” So there… a feminine metal band…sweet. Pardon my rant.

whats with all this hate on Metallica because of lars, just because he’s one of the biggest douche nozzles on the planet doesnt mean his music sucks… well metallica’s early stuff anyway. Michael Jackson is the biggest creep to ever live, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a great artist. if you’re gonna say fuck Metallica you better provide some valid points, maybe that’s why you get 20 minute lectures because you just rant nonsense.
as for this beatles rock band game, yea the animation looks pretty sweet and i’ve been waiting for some beatles songs to come out, but its kinda lame that its going to be totally separate from the other rock band series, i almost wish they would just release them for rock band 2 so you could just add them to your songlist like you could with rockband 1 songs on rockband 2. i as well as many others have hundreds of downloaded songs that i wouldn’t be able to play on beatles rockband, lets hope that trend stops there and rock band 3 supports backwards compatibility for rock band 1&2 songs.
